WE ARE DELTA MILLWORKS
Delta Millworks provides high quality lumber and millwork services to Central Texas and beyond. Founded in 1982, we started our business in the restoration of old homes and have evolved into a specialized lumber and millwork supplier. We now offer an array of products and services that can be used in high end custom homes as well as commercial projects.
We are the premier supplier of shou-sugi-ban (burnt wood siding) in the United States and we routinely ship this product across the country.

Shou-sugi-ban
The wood version of weathering steel (the oxidization of steel to provide a protective barrier) is the Japanese tradition of shou-sugi-ban. Burning cedar or some other wood gives it a charcoal barrier that is rot and fire resistant ... and very distinctive looking.
We are particulary proud of our unique and customizeable Shou-sugi-ban techniques.By Offering varying degrees of burn we bring out the grain unique to the lumber.

FINISHING
Most of our lumber items are special domestic species: high-grade Southern yellow pine, select and better Southern cypress, and also clear and vertical grain douglas fir.

CUSTOM MILLWORK
We carry tooling for hundreds of patterns for mouldings, siding, flooring, paneling, and ceiling, many of which are no longer produced by other lumber mills.
Here are a few of our milling services and specialty wood products: Molder Services: up to a 9" wide Pattern Select-grade and #2 grade Cypress Siding and Trim material Douglas Fir: Beams (interior or exterior), Truss components Custom cut Corbels, Brackets, and Rafter Tails Planer, Resaw, and Ripsaw services Hand-Hewn, Weathered, and Heat-Treated Timber Finishes Millwork for almost all restoration jobs
Process.
All of our products are custom sawn and everything is cut only after the order has been placed, allowing the customer to make exact specifications for their needs.

03. SUSTAINABILITY
A majority of our stock comes from reclaimed and sustainable resources.
A majority of our stock comes from reclaimed and sustainable resources. We are a member of SCMA (The Southern Cypress Manufacturer's Association) and recycle all wood scrap and sawdust. Sawdust is sold to horse owners and our scrap is donated to a local landscaper for mulch. 0% wood waste.

03. CYPRESS
Cypress is lightweight, scarce of knots, medium textured, and dimensionally stable with a closed straight grain. It is easy to cut, saw, nail, and resists splitting, warping, checking, splintering and cracking. Cypress wood compliments any interior or exterior architectural style.

04. Longleaf
& Edge-Grain Pine
Edge-Grain Yellow Pine is quarter-sawn out of the largest yellow pine trees available. This produces a product that is 100% vertical-grain, also called "edge-grain". Not only does this mean a beautiful piece of flooring or trim, but also Edge-Grain yellow pine is completely clear (free of knots). Also, because of its tight grain pattern, Edge-Grain can be stained to match some of the color and grain characteristics of antique longleaf pine. These characteristics allow for a highly versatile and beautiful piece of wood that is currently unavailable in the Central Texas market.

Solid wood flooring adds a natural element to any living environment. Specializing in reclaimed longleaf pine and new Texas-grown yellow pine flooring, we can also provide a number of other domestic species of solid wood flooring.
